For the sixth consecutive year, attorneys at Hermes Sargent Bates have been selected for the nationally recognized Super Lawyers® list by Law & Politics magazine and from peer surveys around the state. This year, five honorees were selected and listed in the October issue of Texas Monthly and the special Texas Super Lawyers report. The following attorneys were named:

In addition to the peer survey, Law & Politics researches credentials of nominees, assembles a blue ribbon review panel of leading attorneys from each practice area, directly contacts lawyers and law firm representatives, verifies data and conducts a good-standing review of candidates.
Super Lawyers® recognizes the top five percent of Texas attorneys in more than 60 practice areas. Law & Politics uses a nine-month selection process that begins with a survey of more than 55,000 active lawyers across the state who have been licensed to practice five years or more. The ballot language discourages votes based purely on reputation by asking lawyers to nominate the best attorneys they’ve “personally observed in action.”
