Arlene's practice is devoted primarily to healthcare, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, including mass tort litigation, products liability, premises liability, and environmental and toxic tort litigation. She represents parties in litigation in both state court and federal court in claims involving physicians, allied health providers, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, acute care hospitals, and other long-term care facilities. Arlene represents parties before state and federal agencies, including the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. |
 |  |  | Representative Experience- Represented some of the nation’s leading providers of assisted living, skilled nursing, acute care, long-term care and emergency services throughout Texas, California, and New Mexico.
- Successfully eliminated elder abuse, unfair business practice and fraud causes of action on numerous occasions through motions to strike, demurrers and motions for summary judgment.
- Successfully argued and obtained motion for summary judgment on elder abuse cause of action on behalf of nursing home physicians
- Obtained numerous dismissals on behalf of physicians practicing in anesthesiology, nursing homes, cardiology, cardio thoracic surgery, otolaryngology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, infectious diseases, radiology, oncology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, neonatology, and emergency medicine.
- Successfully argued and obtain motion for summary judgment on behalf of hospitals in premises liability actions.
- Successfully defended hospitals and physicians in birth injury cases.

Successfully argued and obtained motion for summary judgment based on statute of limitations on behalf of gynecologists.
